Wounds of a Priestess: Healing the Sacred Way

Hello, dear one,

Welcome to Part 7 of the “Becoming a Priestess” series — a simple guide for modern-day Priestesses.

In today’s post, I invite you to explore five major wounds that many modern women carry — wounds that often signal you are being called to walk the Priestess path. Through my personal experiences and sacred teachings, I’ll guide you through each wound, offering examples from my own healing and practical tools you can use on your sacred journey of transformation.

The original 5 Soul Wounds were identified by American psychiatrist John Pierrakos and later expanded upon by Canadian therapist Lise Bourbeau. These wounds — abandonment, betrayal, injustice, rejection, and humiliation—are universal patterns of human pain, each holding energetic and emotional imprints that shape our lives and relationships.

In my research, experience, and work with women who are preparing to become Priestesses, I have found that nearly every woman carries at least two of these soul wounds — often with one lying deeper, anchoring in the body and spirit more profoundly than the rest. In my own journey, I was called to heal all five. Each became a sacred initiation — an alchemical process that prepared me to hold others in their transformation.

Trauma is an imprint on the soul — a wound that echoes through time, shaping our thoughts, emotions, and bodies. As Priestesses, we understand that healing is not just about the mind but the spirit, the energy body, and the sacred love within. In this journey, we embrace ancient wisdom, ritual, and divine connection to transmute pain into power. The 7 Spirals of Self-Discovery offer a sacred map for transformation, guiding us through purification, integration, and rebirth.

Here are five major traumas—and how to heal them through the Priestess Alchemy Path:

🦅 WOUND of ABANDONMENT

Theme: Disconnection from love and belonging. Fear of solitude. Veil: (Co) Dependence.

The wound of abandonment, often intertwined with shame, is one of the most profound and hidden traumas we carry. It can originate in early childhood, the womb, or through ancestral memory. At its core, abandonment trauma is a rupture in our connection to love, safety, and the heart.

This is my number one soul wound. To transmute it, I had to journey beyond this lifetime — back to the time before my conception and where the wound had already taken root in my ancestral line. In ceremony and stillness, I uncovered layers of pain passed down through the maternal field, which I had unknowingly carried. Healing this wound became a sacred reclamation of the love I always was.

⚜️ Priestess Healing Approach:

  • Sacred Space: Create a nurturing sanctuary. Include objects that represent safety, the mother archetype, and inner child healing.

  • Goddess Mentorship: Lilith helped me name the wound; Mother Mary helped me soften into healing and nurturing.

  • Crystal Alchemy: Black Rose rituals, Obsidian for protection, Mangano Calcite for emotional healing, Clear Quartz for purification.

  • Nervous System Harmony: Hand over heart and womb, soft humming to stimulate the vagus nerve. Rock gently to self-soothe.

  • Flower Essence & Elixirs: Awakened Perception for deep trauma healing, Yarrow for energetic boundaries, energy detox, and aura repair

  • Essential Oil : Roman Chamomile for comfort, Myrrh for mother wound healing.

  • Affirmation: “I am eternally held. I am safe to belong to myself.”

🗡️ WOUND of BETRAYAL

Theme: Loss of trust and divine sovereignty. Fear of separation and dissociation. Veil: Control

The betrayal wound is a deep fracture of trust — often surfacing as fear of being deceived, let down, or overpowered. Many Priestesses carry this wound from lifetimes of spiritual persecution, broken sisterhoods, or intimate betrayals in this life.

This wound showed up for me as deep distrust — of men, of sisterhood, and even of Spirit, introducing me to what is known as the dark night of the soul. I remember feeling that trusting again might break me. But eventually, the Magdalene came in, not to rescue me, but to remind me of the strength that lives in my open heart. Forgiveness became a ritual, not a one-time act.

⚜️ Priestess Healing Approach:

  • Sacred Reflection: Get a lovely journal and set a daily ritual to write a few pages of reflections on anything you like. Freewrite on a theme of your choosing, even if it is about nothing. Keep a fresh red rose or her symbol at your writing area.

  • Goddess Mentorship: Invoke Mary Magdalene to support heart alchemy healing, transmuting betrayal into love.

  • Energy Alchemy: Black Tourmaline for energetic protection, Rose Quartz to heal heartbreak. Red Rose for transmuting.

  • Nervous System Support: Diamond White Light Procedure or colour visualization of choice.

  • Flower Essence & Elixirs: Fierce Compassion to heal the wounds of the heart, Dagger Hakea to embrace forgiveness.

  • Essential Oil: Rose for heart healing, Sandalwood to restore sacred boundaries.

  • Affirmation: “My heart is sacred. My energy is sovereign.”

🫧 WOUND of REJECTION

Theme: Not being accepted for your essence. Fear the panic of being rejected. Veil: Withdrawer

The wound of rejection often leads us to suppress our truth, hide our magic, or alter ourselves for approval. It is the soul’s cry to be fully seen, heard, and valued as we are. For many Priestesses, this wound activates a journey of reclaiming the sacred wild self.

This wound showed up when I hid my sensitivity and spiritual gifts to avoid being misunderstood. I tried to fit in, to please, to stay quiet when my intuition whispered to do otherwise. Reclaiming my gifts meant making peace with being different, and standing firm in the medicine I came to bring. This wound kept me chasing external validation. I had to learn that Love is not earned — it is remembered.

⚜️ Priestess Healing Approach:

  • Self-Healing Procedures: When our energy field is strong, we are resilient to rejection. Daily energy and light healing procedures will help you to strengthen the aura, restore inner safety, release fear, reclaim your centre.

  • Goddess Mentorship: Quan Yin supports deep compassion and unconditional love.

  • Crystal Alchemy: Rhodonite for emotional balance, Chrysoprase for heart expansion.

  • Nervous System Harmony: Scan your full body, place your hand anywhere you feel tension, send love to that place, feel any discomfort subsiding and your emotions calming.

  • Flower Essence & Elixirs: Fierce Compassion Flower Elixir, Sundew to release indecision

  • Essential Oil: Geranium for emotional harmony, Juniper Berry for grounding and purification.

  • Affirmation: “I belong. I am chosen. I am enough.”

🕊️ WOUND of HUMILIATION

Theme: Shame and loss of dignity. Fear of freedom. Veil: Masochism

Humiliation strikes at the core of our being, often making us feel small, exposed, or unworthy. Many Priestesses have been mocked or dismissed for their intuitive gifts or divine feminine wisdom. Humiliation is painful, and the wound can be hard to recognize because it is frequently deeply buried within our subconscious. This wound must be met with grace and gentleness.

Humiliation lived in my body. I could feel it as tightness in my chest, a heat rising in my face anytime I felt misunderstood or dismissed. It wasn’t until I began to integrate my Soul with my body — through love, rituals, meditations, dance, and light — that the shame began to melt. I had to peel back the layers and remember: my body is holy. My story is sacred, and nobody is allowed to shame or judge it. And, most importantly, recognize humiliation is the way others project their own fears, wounds, and limitations. You have the power to reclaim the feeling of worthiness because worth as it is never left you.

⚜️ Priestess Healing Approach:

  • Soul Meditation: Meditation is the way we hear the divine speak to us. Sit in stillness for 5-10 min daily, connecting to your heart centre.

  • Goddess Mentorship: Inanna supports descent and reclamation; she reminds us that shame holds the seed of power.

  • Crystal Alchemy: Use Smoky Quartz to detox shame and ground in your worth.

  • Nervous System Harmony: Bear or Butterfly Hug technique — this quickly grounds the body, releasing overwhelm.

  • Flower Essences & Elixirs: Wild Pansy Elixir to release shame, Elf Cup Lichen to release suppressed emotions and liberation.

  • Essential Oil: Ylang Ylang for emotional restoration, Lavender for nervous system soothing.

  • Affirmation: “I am sacred. Nothing can diminish my worth.”

⚖️ WOUND of INJUSTICE

Theme: Feeling powerless, silenced, or unseen. Fear of emotional coldness. Veil: Rigidity

The injustice wound is connected to feeling unheard, mistreated, or punished for simply being who you are. This often awakens the Priestess path, as many feel called to rise, speak, and restore harmony where oppression once lived.

In me, this wound came from lifetimes of silencing. I would shrink in group settings, even though I held deep wisdom. Every time I spoke my truth, and it landed with silence or misunderstanding, the old ache returned. But I learned to anchor my worth in something deeper than external validation — my voice as a vessel for truth.

⚜️ Priestess Healing Approach:

  • Divine Guidance: Add a prayer practice to your daily ritual. Prayer is a way the spirit receives your permission to support you.

  • Goddess Mentorship: Sekhmet brings courage to reclaim your sacred fire.

  • Energy Alchemy: Citrine and Sunstone for solar plexus empowerment. Orange Rose to reclaim your worth and power.

  • Nervous System Harmony: Practice Lion’s Breath to release tension and reawaken will.

  • Flower Essence & Elixirs: Infinite Love to find love within, Dog Rose to gain courage and confidence.

  • Essential Oil: Lemon for clarity, Frankincense for spiritual connection.

  • Affirmation: “I know my worth. I feel my power. Divine is my guide. Earth is my home.”

🌹 The Priestess Way of Healing

Today, there are many powerful techniques available for healing trauma. The Priestess Healing Approach is one of them — a sacred path that supports deep soul restoration, whether you identify as a priestess or not.

Each of these five wounds is not a flaw—they are sacred signposts, revealing the deeper layers of your own story. They show you where you have been separated from love, and invite you to return home to yourself.

As priestesses, we don’t bypass pain. We hold it. We transmute it. We offer it to the altar of light. We do this not to be perfect, but to be present — more embodied, more loving, more luminous — for ourselves and for others.

This path brings quantum shifts and soul-deep change, but it is not rigid. It evolves with you. As more light pours into your auric field, heart, and soul, your rituals, practices, and awareness will naturally expand. Let it. This is the living spiral of priestess work.

If you’re feeling the call to deepen this sacred healing journey, I invite you to explore the 7 Spirals of Self-Discovery — a soul map designed to help you unveil your shadows, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and bring radical love to the places that need it most.

May you walk with grace. May you heal with power. May you remember who you are.
With rose petals and love,
Katia 🌹
