“Munay-Ki”- the energy of love
The nine rites of Munay-Ki and I found each other when I was feeling gloomy. I had to make a hard decision and couldn't. I was losing my ground, problems were piling up, and I didn't have the enthusiasm to deal with them. I was on a constant lookout for answers, depleting my energy.
One sweltering summer afternoon, the name "Munay-Ki" appeared on my laptop screen. In an instance, I felt drawn to learn more, and without hesitation, I embarked on a trip to discovery.
I connected to each rite, one by one, taking my time when I need it. The powers of rituals lead me to the world of magic. I developed a unique connection with the spirit animals during the Harmony Rite:
The Serpent helped to shed the past.
The Jaguar established the connection to mother Earth.
The Hummingbird reminded me of all the joys of life and strength that we possess.
The Condor guided me to honour my heartfelt desires and manifest with ease.
These are the results of one of three transmissions, imagine - how it feels to receive all nine!
I will give an overview of each rite, but first, it is essential to understand the principals of the Q'ero people.
The "contemporary reinterpretation" of the rites is based on Q'eros' initiatory practices. The Q'eros are ethnic people of the Andes mountains and Amazon. They live in a very high altitude and lead a simple, authentic live style. Q'ero obeys by the Inka prophecies, one of the primary- the only way to go forward is to be in harmony with nature. Always be thankful and live in gratitude. They are givers and practice energy flow; you give today it will return to you tomorrow. "Everything is created for man. It is not for you or me. It is for everybody." - "The Path of the Sun" (doc. film)
Their knowledge is sacred and passed on from generation to generation. They make offerings to "Pachamama" (Mother Earth, Universe) and the Apus (the mountain spirits). Q'ero people practice duality. They say most profound healings take place when masculine and feminine energies are both present.
Q'ero medicine men are not shamans, rather mystics. They work with energy and read coca leaves. The core of their healing tradition is living energy, called the luminous field; to heal an illness means to clear the luminous energy.
"Munay-Ki" means the energy of love. The rites transform our energy field into a luminous one by clearing out energetic debris. The rites are delivered individually as energetic transmissions. They shift our consciousness freeing us from ego, expanding our vision of who we truly are. They heel the past for the present to channel wisdom and power, keeping us protected. The possibilities become endless. Munay-Ki teaches us to listen to our intuition, meaning to follow the spirit.
“They are energetic transmissions that heal the wounds of the past – the genetic and karmic inheritance we are born with”. - Thefourwinds.com
It is important to understand that Munay-Ki rites as we know them today, are not exact as practiced by Q'ero healers. The name "Munay-Ki" came to live by Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D. He transformed the rites to make them accessible for everyone who hears the calling. The last rite was transmitted to Dr. Villoldo in 2006 with instructions to carry them to the West.
The Munay-ki is transmitted to us as seeds, and it is up to us to grow them. We raise the vibrations by performing a fire ceremony or using a white candle.
It is my honor to introduce the nine Munay-Ki Rites:
Healer's Rite (Hampe Blessing): awakens healing powers, connects to the lineage of luminous healers, heals the wounds of the past.
Bands of Power: five energy belts are woven into your luminous energy field for protection. They are filters of negative energy, allowing only the luminous energy to come towards you.
Harmony Rite: transmission of the 7 Archetypes into the Chakras. Serpent, jaguar, hummingbird, and eagle (condor) come first; next, three archangels related to our unconscious, waking world, and super-conscious.
Seer's Rite: awakens the inner seer and the ability to perceive the invisible world of energy and spirit.
Daykeeper's Rite (Pampamesayok): begin to heal your inner feminine, step beyond fear, and practice peace.
Wisdomkeeper's Rite (Altomesayok): heal your inner masculine, step outside of time, and taste infinity
Earthkeeper's Rite (Kurak Akuyek): connect with the archangels, guardians of our solar system, setting your spirit free
Starkeeper's Rite (Mosoq Karpay): helps your physical body to evolve, becoming a guardian for future generations. The aging process slows down, DNA re-informed.
Creator Rite (Taitanchis): stewardship for all creation, you are the co-creator of your life
I believe the heart and soul know our needs, and if we keep them open and follow their guidelines, we find our authentic way. Munay-Ki are here to support us every step of the way. If you are considering getting the Munay-Ki transmission email at katia@katialaine.com.

To transmit the rites to you, I will need a picture of your face, back of the head and body. I use a special pi-stone, which acts as a gateway to the invisible world of the Earth keepers, a symbol of our luminous body and the Universe. You have the option of receiving three, six, or nine rites. You may set the intention to heal a particular trauma or anything that is waiting to be resolved, or you may only want the transmission. Once I finish the attunements, I will email you feedback on the energy work. Some clients choose to have 1:1 session first, however, not necessary.
It is hoped that as many people receive Munay-Ki as possible, no restrictions. Remember, it is your choice to grow them or not, but once received, the rites are available to guide you further.
